What is a .kit file?
A .kit is the project file saved by 2020 Design (now part of Cyncly). It stores the room's walls, windows and doors, and every cabinet, panel and appliance with its size and position, using the codes of whichever catalogue the designer worked in.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read and drawn entirely inside your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers and we never see it — you can disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded and it still works.
Does it need a particular cabinet catalogue?
No. Every piece is drawn from the size and position stored in the file and labelled with its own code. Sizes are shown exactly as saved, including pieces that were cut down from a catalogue size.
Which versions of 2020 Design are supported?
Files saved by 2020 Design v9 through v14 (2020 Design Live) have been tested. If a file will not open, send it to us through the contact page and we will look at it.
